EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon Track Club Elite’s Nijel Amos continued his winning ways in the 800 meters on the Diamond League circuit in Rabat, Morocco on June 16.
The 25-year-old Amos used a sustained kick on the home stretch to edge in front of Kenya’s Emmanuel Korir for a hard-earned victory – 1:45.57 to 1:45.60. It was the third 800m win of the outdoor season for the Botswanan, who won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon Track Club Elite’s Sally Kipyego celebrated a return to prominence at the USATF Women’s 10K Championships in New York City on June 8.
The 33-year-old Kipyego was competing in her first national championship as a U.S. citizen, and nearly two years after the birth of her daughter, Emma. She placed third overall in a stacked field of 27 elite distance runners with a time of 32 minutes, 35 seconds.

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon Track Club Elite’s Hanna Green established a personal best by nearly three seconds in the 1,500 meters at the Music City Distance Carnival in Nashville, Tenn., last Saturday (June 1).
Green, a second-year pro out of Virginia Tech, placed seventh in the tightly contested race with a time of 4 minutes, 6.66 seconds. Her previous best of 4:09.33 was set earlier this season.
The top seven competitors in the race finished within 1.42 seconds of each other.
